PARENTAL RESISTANCE AND SOCIAL AWARENESS ON HUMAN PAPILLOMA VIRUS VACCINES

Many people's resistance to HPV vaccine is related to their lack of awareness. Studies show that healthcare professionals, and even nursing and medical students, are cautious about HPV vaccine, they use expressions that raise suspicion when making statements, they exhibit more relaxed movements if they are infected with HPV, and somebody refuse to talk about the issue because of their beliefs or privacy. Reassuring vaccine recommendation style increases the vaccine acceptance, especially the skeptical parents. What parents need to know: vaccine protects against cancers, the vaccine has no side effects, it can even be administered to breastfeeding mothers. Everyone can have a sexual life and protection of sexual health is an important human right. At this point, parents should be able to take their own responsibilities. Promising vaccination rates will reduce future cervical cancers. The state or civil administrations make it more accessible and widespread opportunities such as providing free and unconditional information to young people about vaccine, and optimizing vaccination programs can increase vaccination rates. It will be very valuable to organize awareness trainings, promotional activities, and media activities of producers and distributors regarding the importance of vaccine. As a result, sectoral cooperation will increase social awareness. Although it is not easy to enlighten individuals about HPV vaccines with sympathetic language in the short term, it is thought that it may create the desired effect in the long term.
