This study takes a look into the extent with which child labour has negatively impacted the social relationship and moral conducts of the children.It equally determines the socio-economic effects of child labour. It draws attention and offers possible and valuable suggestions aimed at finding a lasting solution to the problem which has eaten deep into the fabric of the society. Methods: The population of the paper consists of randomly selected Nigerians in the street of Abuja.It involved male and female child hawkers,cross-sectional survey design was employed through purposive sampling technique in choosing the sample size of two hundred (200) respondents. In-Depth interviews (IDIs) and validated structured questionnaires served as the instruments for the data collection respectively. The hypothesis were tested utilizing chi-square at a predetermined. We analyzed the quantitative data with the aid of the SPSS – Version 20. Results: The results showed, among others, that child labour impacted negatively on social implications and physical consequences on the children’s moral conducts and their health status in the area. Conclusion: The research, concluded that the Nigerian government as a matter of urgency should embark on sustained enlightenment campaign through the religious institutions and the media on the negative impacts of child labour. The child right act instrument and its implementation should be strengthened so as to curb child labour in the federal capital territory.
